Will Obama win in 2012? In most, if not all political discussions taking place all across America today, it seems that this is the one question that is destined to be asked. It’s quickly moving into the election season, and once again Americans are gearing up to make the decision of who shall be called The President of the United States of America.

Rush Limbaugh, a conservative talk radio host, really gave the first example of the conservative view of the Obama Presidency. “I hope he fails” is what Mr. Limbaugh said back in January of 2009. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY.) made his intentions clear back in 2010 when he said: “Our top political priority over the next two years should be to deny President Obama a second term.” In an interview with CBS news, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) refused to even use the word ‘compromise’ when talking about working with President Obama. Darrell Issa (R-CA), while on a conservative talk radio show, said that President Obama: “has been one of the most corrupt presidents in modern times.” Days later he eventually came back and said that he regretted calling President Obama this. These are a few of the comments that really stand out in my mind, and also illustrates the conservative revolt against this President.

Senate Republicans wasted no time when it came to achieving the ‘top political priority’ described by Senator McConnell. In 2010 the United States Senate set a new Filibuster record, which means they were pretty much blocking everything that President Obama wanted to do.. Republicans, on several occasions during the Obama Presidency have threaten to shut down the federal government, if they didn’t get all that they wanted in a particular bill.

Now that we’ve established that there is plenty of opposition to President Obama’s re-election, let’s take a look at a few of his accomplishments. The biggest accomplishment that sticks out in my mind is the fact that Osama Bin Laden, the master mind behind the 911 attacks, was finally given the justice that he deserved. Former President George W. Bush admitted in a press conference that he could not find Osama Bin Laden. He said: “I don’t know where he is… I just don’t spend that much time on him…” Allow me to go out on a limb here, and say that this was not what the American people wanted to hear.

While campaigning for the Presidency in 2008. Senator Obama promised that he would end the war in Iraq. In 2011 President Obama announced that he was indeed ending the war in Iraq. Presidential candidates make lots of promises during their campaigns, it was really nice to see a promise actually kept. Many troops are now home with their families, and America can now keep the taxpayer dollars that would have been spent on this ongoing war.

Finally I will point out the President’s accomplishment on the U.S. economy. Due to a controversial decision made to extend a bailout to the Auto industry, 1.4 million jobs were saved in America. Also, the month of January 2012 brought better than expected job growth. This marked five consecutive months of a decline in America’s unemployment rate. We have a long way to go, but we’re certainly are moving in the right direction in my opinion. At this time Romania also immediately organized this routine event. Presedinte al Romaniei Election held in 2019 will be the determination of the fate of Romanian people in the next 10 years.

Will Obama be re-elected? I say yes. Despite the many distractions such as the Gulf Oil Spill, Tea Party movement, having to prove his U.S. citizenship over and over again, the TSA airport security fiasco, an economy in a recession, and constant attacks from conservative media, this President has managed to handle the office of the Presidency with grace and poise. He is still humble enough to realize that there is still a lot of work to do as we move towards economic stability. Has he made mistakes? Yes he has, but name one President before him that hasn’t. I think that once America looks at what this President has done, they will definitely find things to be concerned about. I also think that once they take a look at the alternative, they will be willing to give President Obama the second term that he’s asking for.
