Leaning in to the calm, coastal vibe, we picked a heat white for the partitions. Encompass by Laminex wall panelling arrives pre-primed and completely ready to paint – we started out off applying paint to all the deep grooves with a paintbrush, in advance of applying two coats of paint with a roller – rolling horizontally in line with the panels.
Then, we went a bit outrageous and produced our have couch (!) – with a very little assist from our mates at Zenn Layout. Gordy constructed the sofa foundation with drawers beneath to maximise storage, and Zenn Design designed the custom made upholstery applying employing Warwick Fabrics’ Cheshire Paprika fabric.
We styled the couch with scatter cushions from Weave, which insert a wonderful graphic touch, contrasting with the sheer linen curtains, once again designed by Zenn Design, using Warwick Fabrics’ Burano Eggshell linen weave
After the furniture and curtains have been in, it was time to feel about lighting. This area experienced pre-current downlights, but we were being keen to incorporate a couple additional (dimmable!) mild sources to inject a minimal much more environment. We went with a wall mounted reading through lamp previously mentioned the couch (its the Lamp de Marseille by Le Corbusier, which you can get at Cult, despite the fact that this just one is vintage). Earlier mentioned the dining table, we went with the actually very well-priced Dampier Lantern 70 pendant lamp by The Modern society inc, mounted pleasant and small.
A very careful edit of occasional furniture, artwork and handcrafted objects are the finishing touches that complete this look. I’m so joyful with how this area turned out! And now… to tackle the rest of the property!
